The Safety of Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver has long been held as an effective and natural way to both treat – and prevent – a bevy of illness. In fact, colloidal silver was used almost exclusively prior to the development of modern antibiotics and its use only waned when antibiotics went to market. Today, however, more consumers than ever are interested in learning about the benefits of colloidal silver as they uncover alternatives to conventional pharmaceuticals.
Colloidal silver is a derivative of pure silver; when pure silver microbes are suspended in pure water and given a positive electrical charge the liquid becomes known as colloidal silver. For generations silver users have known of this natural element’s ability to ward of bacteria and keep germs at bay. In its colloidal state, silver is able to directly access the cells – mitigating microorganisms that can cause illness and disease and bolstering healthy cells in its role as a secondary support to the body’s immune system.
Of course, as with anything that we ingest, it is important to understand the level of safety we can expect from its use. While there has been some concern with certain conditions that can develop with the ongoing use of colloidal silver, the fact is that this pertains to the overuse of colloidal silver, rather than at recommended dosages.
Rather, colloidal silver is able to do its job without risk of allergic reaction and the possibility of drug interactions. Safe, effective, and enormously powerful colloidal silver can be a terrific inclusion in a healthy lifestyle.
